Curling up with a good food book?

If you’re like us, you’re just as likely to be caught reading a cookbook as a good novel. We’ll grab pretty much anything about food and cooking. Here are some of our favorite reads these days.

The Good Food Revolution, Will Allen – A good reminder of why we love supporting local farmers, and why Farmhouse is committed to keeping a 100% local product lineup.

In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto, Michael Pollan – While it’s been out for a few years. I still go back to reference it often. If you haven’t read it, grab it and enjoy. After all, it’s called An Eater’s Manifestio. Yes.

Bringing it to the Table: On Farming and Food, Wendell Berry – If your uncle isn’t an organic farmer, sit down with ole Wendell and he’ll get you up to speed. This is a collection of essays that’ll stay with you.

Cooked: A Natural History of Transformation, Michael Pollan – I’m not too far into this one yet, and I so love it already. Read it with me?
