Mark Your Calendars for the 4th Annual Fais Do-Do & Gumbo Cook Off

Mark your calendars, ladies and gents, this year’s Fais Do-Do & Gumbo Cook Off fundraiser is gonna be one for the books! On Saturday, February 27 from 1-5 pm, 13 teams will be competing for the title of Gumbo Champion. Two of last year’s winners return to defend their titles: the 3rd Annual People’s Choice Winner, The Tipsy Texans and the 3rd Annual Judge’s Choice Runner Up, The Nutria Rats.

Stick around for complimentary beer, courtesy of Ben E. Keith, bloody marys, courtesy of Dripping Springs Vodka and Lauren’s Garden Fresh Squeezed Bloody Mary Mix, plus Buddha’s Brew kombucha. Come prepared with your dancin’ shoes and get down with Cajun dancehall band the Gulf Coast Playboys from 1-4pm.

The event runs from 1-5pm at Rain Lily Farm, 914 Shady Lane, Austin, TX 78702 on Saturday, February 27, 2016. All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Urban Roots Austin.

$25 admission, kids 10 and under enter free. Advance tickets available here.

    Great question, Janice! While we’re major dog lovers here, we do not allow dogs at the gumbo cook off for food safety reasons. We hope to see you there this weekend!
