In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month, we are celebrating women in our food community that are helping to make Texas, and the world, a better place. 

Melody McClary has spent more than 10 years working in the local food community, advocating for good, local food across Texas. In addition to farming her homestead south of Austin, Melody leads the on-location farming program at Tito’s Handmade Vodka – a true fantasy come true!

Why It is Important To You To Support Women in the Food Community:

“I’ve never really spent a lot of time thinking about it. I mean it’s something I’ve always celebrated but maybe for me it comes from my appreciation of balance and creating opportunity. Not enough people want to grow food or work inside of the food system that a small farm needs to support it. If someone is willing to invest their energy into promoting, using, and creating food, that act of love should be championed!”
